{"id":325,"date":"2022-12-08T08:57:37","date_gmt":"2022-12-08T08:57:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ifsgen.umfst.ro\/?page_id=325"},"modified":"2023-12-19T18:09:39","modified_gmt":"2023-12-19T18:09:39","slug":"conferintele-ifsgen","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ifsgen.umfst.ro\/en\/noutati\/conferintele-ifsgen\/","title":{"rendered":"IFSGen 2022 Conference Panels"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The National Congress of Romanian Historians<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Between September 8th and 10th, 2022, the \"1 Decembrie 1918\" University in Alba Iulia, in collaboration with the Romanian Academy and the National Committee of Historians from Romania, organised the 3rd edition of the National Congress of Romanian Historians.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>IFSGen has proposed a section titled: <em>'Women in the Romanian Space (18th-21st Century): Aspects, Perceptions, and Representations'<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The presentations offered topics for reflection and discussion concerning the various aspects, perceptions, and representations of women in the Romanian context. They delved into themes related to the characteristics, peculiarities, and trajectories of women, exploring several indicative directions, including:<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; 1. Sources and resources concerning women's history and gender studies.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; 2. Iconic female personalities.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; 3. The social status of women \u2013 between acceptance and exclusion.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; 4. Female roles in public and private spheres.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; 5. Representations of women in civil and ecclesiastical courts.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; 6. Perceptions of women in literature, art, media, and other cultural realms.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; 7. Female mobilizations (associations, meetings, societies).<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; 8. Women against violence (rebellions, revolutions, wars).<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; 9. Promoting gender equality.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; 10. Women's contribution to the construction of territorial identities (local, regional, national).<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; 11. Female migration.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; 12. Women and leadership.<br>&nbsp; &nbsp; 13. The impact of modernization and globalization on women's roles and identity construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More information can be found on the congress website: http:\/\/cnir.conference.uab.ro <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Round Table Discussion: Women's History and Gender Identity in Romania: Exploring Research Directions and Themes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The round table organized on the same occasion proposed a debate on the state of art in the field of women's history and gender identity in Romania. It was organised also with the aim of presenting IFSGen and its main objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout the event, participants engaged in discussions encompassing various topics, including the primary themes and research trajectories within gender studies, the advancements in contemporary Romanian historiography, the importance of interdisciplinary dialogue, and the potential integration of this field into both pre-university and university curricula.
